Blessed with a ringing tenor...Callon sang with rare beauty, compelling ardor, and, in the great aria, “Che gelida manina” (What a frozen little hand), touching nuance. Who would have expected such a fine tenor in a small regional production?"

Jason Victor Serinus

San Francisco Classical Voice

“I was bowled over by the talents of Shaw's latest star, James Callon as Rudolfo....His vocal expression is pure magic.  I felt that I was swept into the center of his tender emotions and never wanted to leave."

Georja Umano

Splash Magazines

"James Callon brings a beautiful tenor voice to Faust, and is always compelling when singing...that voice is extraordinary."

John Orr

San Jose Mercury News

"James Callon is excellent in the role of the villanous Duke.  He sings with such ease...He even manages to persuade us that for a moment this debouched roué truly loves Gilda."

Hello & welcome!

A few new production photos have been added & more are on the way.  Find them in the "Gallery."  Also, don't forget to read the reviews for my most recent performances on the "Press" page: a role & company debut as Sam in Susannah with Pasadena Opera, Mitch in A Streetcar Named Desire with Tulsa Opera, and role debut as Fr. Grenville in Dead Man Walking with Townsend Opera. I'm very proud of everyone involved and very happy with the work we've accomplished.  Bravi tutti!

This January, I will make another role and much-anticipated company debut with Opera Santa Barbara as Prunier in La Rondine.
